Blue Lagoon Condos Location
The Blue Lagoon condo community is ideally located just north of Treasure Island and the Montage Resort, and south of the exclusive community of Lagunita. Located right on the sand at Victoria Beach, this is the ideal community for those looking for a second home as well as a full time residence. What makes this community even more special is its close proximity to shops and restaurants. It is not very common for Laguna Beach residents to be able to walk to grocery store, drugstore and a variety of wonderful local restaurants. Furthermore, almost directly across the entrance to the community you will find a stop for the free trolley that takes you to Downtown Laguna Beach and the Festival Grounds in Laguna Canyon as well as Salt Creek and the Dana Point Harbor.
The Blue Lagoon Condominiums
Blue Lagoon is one of the older neighborhoods and gated communities within in Laguna Beach, dating back to the early 1960’s. The planned community offers 2-3 bedroom condos that range in size from 1,347 to 1,950 square foot. Most of the units have a carport on the bottom story, and two stories of living space above that.
The complex is large for Laguna standards, as Blue Lagoon features a total of 119 condominiums. Blue Lagoon condos for sale can range in price from the low $1 million to over $4 million. It all depends on the size, orientation, updates and location within the community. For example, the oceanfront units have stunning views of the crashing waves out front and gorgeous sunset views throughout the year. Within the community some of the units have peek-a-boo ocean views, or views of the swimming pool and or tennis courts. Other homes have a limited view of the neighborhood. This explains the large price range for Blue Lagoon condos. Furthermore, you will find that some of the units are still rather original, whereas many others have been remodeled to today’s standards.
Blue Lagoon Condos for Lease are available both on a shorter and longer term basis. Long term, a 2 bedroom starts in the mid $4,000 range. A 3 bedroom generally starts in the higher $6,000 range.
Short term, Blue Lagoon Condominiums for lease generally range from $5,000 – $10,000 per month. Of course this all depends on the location, view and time of year in which you are looking to rent. For example, a beautifully remodeled unit with excellent views may be priced like this: Off season: $10,000; June: $11,000; July and August: $15,000.
Blue Lagoon really caters both to full time residents and part-time owners who are interested in doing seasonal vacation rentals.
The Blue Lagoon Community and Lifestyle
The community was built as a true retreat for those visiting on vacation, as well as its full time residents. As such, Blue Lagoon offers some of the best amenities in Laguna Beach. The community features two heated pools (one with a cabana including a kitchen), tennis courts, a recreational game room, two community rooms on the seawall (the Seaview Room which can be reserved for small parties, and the Loft; the perfect room from which to enjoy the views while reading a book with a cup of coffee). The community has tropical inspired landscaping throughout and has a pleasant feel to it.
The HOA covers the amenities and gates for around $700 per month. This means the HOA dues are almost half the cost of other condominium communities such as Laguna Beach Lido and Laguna Royale.
Of course the main benefit of Blue Lagoon is its proximity and direct access to famous Victoria Beach; known for its 1926 Pirate Tower, tide pools and salt water pool.
Furthermore, residents get to enjoy the close proximity to the Gelson’s shopping center, which features a variety of locally acclaimed restaurants, a drug store and of course a super market.

Blue Lagoon lies within the highly rated Laguna Beach Unified School District (ranked 43rd out of of 789 districts on SchoolDigger.com). The public schools servicing the residents are:
