April 3-6: Newport Beach Boat Show
The Newport Boat Show is the premier yacht show in the west with more than 200 boats on display and no limit on the size of the bigger vessels. This year’s show will feature the newest vessels to reach the Western United States! Plus, there will be a whole host of exhibitors on hand shoreside and in the water to showcase innovative products and services that make owning and operating a big boat more enjoyable.

April 4: First Friday’s Wine Tasting – Laguna Beach

April 4: Ragnar Relay So Cal 2014 – Huntington Beach
Ragnar is the overnight running relay race that makes testing your limits a team sport. A 200 mile overnight relay down the pacific coast from Huntington Beeach to San Diego.

April 12: Earth Day Festival at Bolsa Chica Wetlands – Huntington Beach
The Bolsa Chica Earth Day Festival offers free family fun for everyone! Visitors will have the opportunity to touch a live snake, count migrating birds, learn about pollution, test the water, and much more! Alongside a multitude of educational activity booths, the festival will also include a jump tent, food sales, and guided tours of the reserve!

April 17-19 Mermade Market – Dana Point
Handmade only craft fair. This will be the inaugural event of what will be a bi-annual show. Every spring and winter.

April 19 Green Eggs and AM Skimboard Contest – Laguna Beach
A super fun contest for amateur skimboarders featuring beginners (Loraxes), intermediate (Sneetches) and advanced (Grinches) riders at West Street Beach, Laguna Beach.
April 19: Annual Easter Hunt & Family Fun Day – Huntington Beach
Thousands of pounds of candy are given away each year for this special family oriented day! Stop by and hunt for candy, take a picture with the Easter Bunny, play a game at the many game booths, visit the various displays from Community Services, Public Works, Fire, and Police, learn about summer camps and classes, enjoy the live band, and try out some new classes. Do not forget to enjoy the pancake breakfast and the hot lunch made by the Huntington Beach Kiwanis Club.

April 19: Eggstravaganza – Dana Point

April 20: Kids’ Art Studio – Laguna Beach
Kids’ Art Studio is a hands-on art-making program offered by Laguna Art Museum on a drop-in basis on the third Sunday of every month between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Children and their families create a piece of art from start to finish, inspired by one of the exhibitions on view in the museum.

April 24 – May 1: Newport Beach Film Festival
