In 1993 the City of Laguna Beach adopted The Mills Act in to order to safeguard the architectural heritage of our town. The Act offers an economic incentive for the preservation of historic properties by reducing property taxes.

2015 Housing Forecast

Changes in FICO System

A few weeks ago I spoke with a father from Dana Point. He told me his son was recently in a major accident. Over the course of several months the family was in and out of the hospital and medical bills started piling up. Fortunately the son is expected to fully recover, but the family’s finances have taken a big hit.

Prop 60 & 90

I have recently had two clients ask about prop 60 & 90. In both cases the clients are currently living in the Los Angeles County area and thinking of moving down to Laguna Beach. They both have a low tax base on their current homes, and they were (not surprisingly) wondering if they would be able to transfer their tax base to a new home.

New Dual Agency Case
